NBC has released a trailer and teaser clips for a new drama centered on a firefighters and paramedics at the fictional Chicago Firehouse 51.

The show pilot, focused on the lives of members of the Chicago Fire Department, features Jesse Spencer of "House" fame, Monica Raymund and Taylor Kinney, Lady Gaga's beau, of "Vampire Diaries" fame.

Produced by Dick Wolf, the mastermind behind the long-lasting, spinoff-rich Law & Order series, the show will be filmed in Chicago starting in July if NBC gives the green light.

While the viewers decide the show's future, Mayor Rahm Emanuel has given the program an endorsement, in the form of a cameo appearance in an upcoming episode.

"It's easier being mayor than playing mayor," Emanuel told NBC in March. "I told them I’d do it under one condition: the TV show is making an investment to the firefighter's widow and orphans fund."
