Wes Anderson's much-anticipated "Moonrise Kingdom" may have premiered miles away at the Cannes Festival, but luckily for you, the Museum of Moving Image is just a quick train ride away. Celebrate some of the whimsical filmmaker's best with screenings of "Rushmore," "The Royal Tenenbaums," and "Bottle Rocket."

The Great GoogaMooga Festival

While foodies gather in Prospect Park for Googa festivities, the city's bibliophiles have their own cultural event with Lit Crawl NYC. The fifth annual crawl takes place in Cobble Hill for an evening loaded with cocktails, readings, and even a literary caberet.

Brooklyn Flea Record Fair
Where: Smorgasburg, East River Waterfront (btw. North 6 + 7 St.)

The city's top Indie labels and vintage record dealers provide a "cream of the crop" collection of the city's best records for Brooklyn Flea's Record Fair taking place this Saturday in Williamsburg, an excellent bonus to the already awesome Smorgasburg.

Ditmas Park's favorite watering hole (and flower shop) opens its doors to celebrate specialty beers from California with a day of outdoor barbecuing.
