While speaking to a crowd in California on Monday, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) broke from his remarks when he was heckled by a protester, who was escorted out of the event after the interruption.

The Arizona Republican drew cheers from his audience when he called the man a "jerk" in resuming his speech. Lemon Grove Patch reports:

McCain was interrupted by a man in the audience 4 minutes into his own remarks, and the person was hustled away by Secret Service.
