'Pawn Stars': How Much For A Rare Nineteenth-Century Dollar Bill?

How much is 19th-century U.S. paper currency worth these days? That was the question facing the "Pawn Stars" (Mon., 10 p.m. ET on History) Monday night as they appraised some rare bills.

A seller brought in a $5 bill and a $1 bill, and she pointed out that the $1 bill had the serial number 1.

She was hoping to get $29,000 for the $1 bill and $16,000 for the $5 bill. However, because both bills had been damaged over the years, Corey Harrison's final offer was $16,500 for both.

"Yeah, I can't take that," she told him. Eventually, she did accept $4,000 for the $5 bill but kept hold of the $1.

The bargaining continues each week on "Pawn Stars," Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on History.
