San Francisco Carnaval: Eclectic Celebration Takes Over The Mission (PHOTOS)

STUNNING PHOTOS: Carnaval Transforms The Mission Into Riot Of Color

SF Carnaval filled the Mission District this past weekend with bright feathers, colorful costumes, and a parade of dancers.

The 33rd annual parade was a riot of color, music and dancing, as San Franciscans of all ages came out to taste foreign delicacies, buy crafts and listen to live music performances. The two-day festival featured various traditional and modern dance performances on Saturday and culminated in a grand parade down Harrison Street Sunday morning.

Hosted by the San Francisco Cultural Arts Traditions, the eclectic annual event strives to make multiculturalism tangible in San Francisco neighborhoods by allowing people of different cultures to come together through music, dance, artistry and food.
