Mexican Teen May Miss College Graduation In The U.S. Over Visa Issue

All she wants is to attend her graduation.

But the salutatorian, who is scheduled to deliver a speech to her Indiana class on Saturday, is stuck in Mexico because she was one day late.

Elizabeth Olivas, an 18-year-old who attends Frankfort High School in Frankfort, Ind., returned to Chihuahua, Mexico, where she was born, to comply with U.S. immigration laws. The law required her to return to Mexico within six months of her 18th birthday to receive a visa.
