'Rock Center' Time Slot Changes Again

Another Change For 'Rock Center'

NBC is moving its prime time newsmagazine show, "Rock Center with Brian Williams," to a new time slot for the second time since the program's debut in November 2011.

"Rock Center" will air this summer and into the fall on Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. The show has been on short hiatus since the network removed it almost half way through May Sweeps, a crucial month for network television ratings. NBC replaced "Rock Center" with reruns of "Law and Order: SVU." It returns to air on Thursday, June 7.

The show has struggled to find an audience since debuting with an all-star roster of contributors including Chelsea Clinton and Meredith Vieira. About three months after its premiere, the program experienced its first time slot change from Mondays at 10:00 p.m. to Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m.

Even though NBC has moved the show twice and pulled it from May Sweeps, the network has publicly stated its three-year commitment to the program.
