Dallas Socialite Arrested For Allegedly Trading Child Pornography From Mansion

A wealthy Dallas housewife has been arrested on child pornography charges after authorities allegedly discovered a cache of extremely graphic photos and videos on her computer.

FBI agents raided the $1.5 million mansion of Erika Perdue in April after tracking down the 41-year-old's identity and address via a file-sharing program, according to KDFW.

The FBI says it first became aware of Perdue in early January. Using the screenname "classyb*****," she unwittingly supplied undercover agents with hundreds of images and videos depicting children being sexually abused by adults, WFAA reports.

After seizing Perdue's computer and hard drive, agents say they found even more disturbing material, including images of adults having sexual intercourse with toddlers.

Perdue allegedly confessed to agents that she has been distributing child pornography since 1999, ABC reports. Court documents state that the stay-at-home socialite would download and share the pornography while her husband, an attorney, was at work.

Perdue is facing four counts of shipping, receiving and possessing child pornography. Her trial is set for September 10.

Clarification: This post has been edited to emphasize that children who are victims of pornographers do not participate voluntarily in sex acts.
