Sir Paul McCartney was one of the many famous faces to take the stage at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert. The former Beatle, showing his British pride with a Union Jack guitar, Union Jack suspenders and a sports coat lined with ... the Union Jack (what else?), closed the Jubilee concert with four Beatles hits.
McCartney opened his short set with "Magical Mystery Tour" before launching into "All My Loving." The legend then took a seat at the piano -- when Elton John had set just minutes before -- and played "Let It Be." McCartney then sang one of his solo tunes, "Live And Let Die" and closed the show with the uptempo "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da," while all of the previous performers danced on stage, side-by-side with the Beatle.
The singer even poked a bit fun at Her Majesty. "She asks that when the festivities are over that you please leave in an orderly fashion," McCartney jokingly told the crowd. "Or she will be forced to unleash the Corgis."
McCartney also recently announced that he'll be the closing act at the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.
Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee concert was organized by the BBC and Gary Barlow and featured many famous British faces: Elton John, McCartney, Cheryl Cole, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Annie Lennox, Madness, Cliff Richard, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran and more. Americans Will.I.Am and Stevie Wonder also joined the on-stage festivities.
The Queen arrived late to the concert, due to Prince Phillip's recent bladder infection and his subsequent admittance to the hospital.
But Her Majesty still managed to celebrate in the audience -- albeit with ear plugs -- with her family by her side. Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry were all spotted in the audience and at times, even clapping and singing along. (We're looking at you, Harry!)
