'Extreme Couponing': Joyce Would Save Coupons Over Her Kid In A Fire (VIDEO)

While comparing the use of coupons to the use of drugs might seem like a stretch to most people, it makes a lot more sense after meeting Joyce on the latest installment of "Extreme Couponing" (Mon., 10 p.m. ET on TLC). Joyce certainly seemed to display the behavioral traits of an addict; she just chose coupons over drugs.

With with a manic and non-stop stream of words, she discussed the euphoria she feels when the paper arrives with the new coupons, the fact that she doesn't sleep for three days before a big shopping trip and the incredible rush of using those coupons.

But perhaps most telling -- though hopefully more tongue in cheek than reality -- Joyce said that if their house were to catch fire, she'd fight to save the coupons, and leave the kids to fend for themselves.
