Amanda Bynes Charged In DUI Case, Actress Pleads Innocence To Barack Obama

Amanda Bynes Pleads Innocence To President

UPDATE: Bynes has entered a "not guilty" plea via her lawyer who appeared in court on her behalf earlier today, TMZ reports.

PREVIOUSLY: Following Amanda Bynes' early-April DUI arrest, during which she reportedly side-swiped a cop car, the former Nickelodeon star has officially been charged with DUI.

According to TMZ, Bynes has been charged with one count of misdemeanor DUI and could serve anywhere between 48 hours and six months in jail if convicted.

But Bynes' trouble doesn't stop there. Just days after her DUI arrest, Bynes was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run, though no charges for the hit-and-run have been made.

Following news of her DUI charge, Bynes took to Twitter to proclaim her innocence -- to the president.

"Hey @BarackObama... I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end," the "She's the Man" star tweeted.

If convicted, Bynes will most likely serve no more than several hours in a county jail, due to overcrowding.

I can't help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don't drink so the DUI is false.
