We recently spotted Cameron Diaz shopping with her bestie, newlywed Drew Barrymore. It would have been impossible to miss her; she was wearing bright azure pants that could have been seen from Mars. Jessica Alba is frequently snapped around town wearing red jeans, and the Knowles sisters wear neon-colored bottoms as easily as if they were navy. All these celebrities in bright, patterned pants have us wanting to try the trend, but how do you wear them without looking like you belong under the Big Top?

The key to wearing bright pants is to keep the rest of your look very neutral. A white t-shirt or chambray blouse, and simple accessories are the way to go. If you're feeling brave, go for a patterned top as well, just keep a similar color palette. Also, keep in mind that the color will make enough of a statement, so keep the silhouette streamlined (no bell-bottoms!). A word of warning: This isn't a trend for people wary of calling attention to their lower half.
