Jon Stewart Criticizes Scott Walker Recall Coverage (VIDEO)

WATCH: Stewart Mocks Scott Walker Recall Coverage

Back in March, first-term Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was ordered a recall election by the Government Accountability Board, and came out victorious in Tuesday's vote.

But the tense political climate made for some creative punditry on the part of the news organizations covering the re-vote.

So on Tuesday night's "Daily Show," Jon Stewart took a minute to point out how bizarre everyone's coverage was.

First, there was the Gretchen Carlson "Fox and Friends" interview with a teacher who had recently visited China. In it, both women not-so-subtly danced around the idea that a Democratic win in the election would turn Wisconsin into a borderline Communist state.

"It'll be like Communist China if Walker loses," Stewart joked. "I mean, we'll all be forced to join unions, like in China."

Beyond that, there was some subliminal visual messaging that Stewart and his writers picked up on in the footage from a focus group interview.

We won't spoil anything for you, but let's just say that the suburban mom haircut is a versatile political weapon.
