Confession: I love redheads. So naturally I find Nicole Kidman alluring simply off the strength of her strawberry blonde hair. Fortunately, the Australian actress has established a cult following and successful career because she's got serious talent to go with that gorgeous mane.
The Hawaiian-born beauty developed her acting chops on TV miniseries and soap operas in the land Down Under before making her U.S. debut in the 1989 thriller "Dead Calm." Yet, it was her portrayal of brain surgeon Dr. Claire Lewicki in the action film "Days of Thunder" that won Hollywood and co-star-turned-boyfriend-turned husband Tom Cruise over. During their 11-year marriage, we saw Kidman's personal style evolve from wild curls and oversized pant suits to sleek strands and sexy sheath dresses -- not to mention more risqué roles in "Batman Forever" and "Eyes Wide Shut." And now that she's moved on with country crooner Keith Urban, Kidman's style status has skyrocketed as she takes to the red carpet in statesque gowns by John Galliano, Versace and Balenciaga.
In celebration of Kidman's 45th birthday on Wednesday, we're taking a look back at the fashion hits and misses over the years. Vote on all her looks in the slideshow below.
