Joshua Jackson Talks 'Fringe,' 'Dawson's Creek' And Fame

Joshua Jackson: 'Dawson's Creek' Was My College

With the days of playing Dawson (James Van Der Beek)'s best friend on "Dawson's Creek" long behind him, Joshua Jackson has officially put the supernatural moves on his career. And he says he's not looking back.

"I don't know how much you've heard about ["Fringe"], but it's this huge, outlandish science-fiction spectacle," Jackson told The Guardian of the Fox drama. "The whole thing is a lot of fun, very inventive."

Still, he can't help feeling a little nostalgia for the days of playing Pacey Witter on "Dawson," which aired on The WB from 1998-2003. "I guess I look back the way other people look back at their college years," he said. "'Dawson's Creek' was my college experience."

"I feel like [whether or not a "Dawson's Creek" reunion is in the works] is the number one question that we get asked," Van Der Beek said on "Live! With Kelly," "Nobody's producing it, nobody's writing it, it's just something that comes in press."

Jackson believes returning to Pacey would be detrimental to his career. "It's so difficult to process success when you're young," he told The Guardian. "I'm not surprised that some people never readjust and move on. But that's the trap. Because if you don't, you're dead. If you don't grow as an actor, you really shouldn't be working."
