Mike Trout Catch: Angels Rookie Robs J.J. Hardy Of Home Run (VIDEO)

Think Bryce Harper is the only must-watch MLB rookie this season? That'd be some clown analysis, bro.

Angels rookie Mike Trout has been statistically even better than the Nationals' phenom thus far in 2012, especially in June. The leading base stealer in the American League, the 20-year-old has seven homers and a season batting average of .341 (.376 this month). On Wednesday night, he also showed he is quite good with the leather.

Just ask Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy.

Hardy thought he had his 12th home run of the season in the bottom of the first inning after he drove Jered Weaver's breaking ball to deep right-center field. Trout ran all the way back to the warning track, leaped up and snagged the ball over his head before it landed beyond the fence. Trout hit the wall, landed on his feet and may have been more excited than Angels fans watching.

"Now that is Torii Hunter, circa 2002 against Barry Bonds in the All-Star Game," the Angels announcer said as Trout celebrated the highlight.

Evoking the nine-time Gold Glove center fielder is no small compliment to the up-and-coming center fielder patrolling the same patch of green that Hunter did before shifting to right field.

Is Trout the next Spiderman?
