'Family Jewels': Shannon Makes Final Adoption Decision

The decision to bring another child into any family is a major one. Shannon Tweed has faced perhaps more hurdles than most in her long saga regarding adoption on "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on A&E). Without the support of her family behind her, she's been an emotional and lonely journey.

Finally, though, she came to a decision. "It's really a bad idea for our family to adopt right now," she told the assembled clan. "For this to happen, it has to be a united family idea, not just me."

So while it sounds like Shannon would still like to bring another child into the family, she's not willing to do so unless the family is on board -- which means it isn't likely to happen any time soon.

With the adoption issue behind them, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" continues Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.
