John Kruk Eats Ribs: ESPN Analyst Downs BBQ During Home Run Derby (VIDEO)

Kruk Downs Ribs During Home Run Derby

According to the Kansas City Barbeque Society, barbeque should be recognized as America's cuisine. After his performance at the 2012 Home Run Derby, the KCBS may be willing to waive its membership fees for ESPN baseball analyst John Kruk.

With some of the mightiest MLB sluggers swinging for the fences, Kruk chowed down on some authentic KC barbeque at Kauffman Stadium.

During the second round of the 2012 MLB Home Run Derby, Kruk helped himself to ribs from a tray resting in front of him on the ESPN dais. The three-time All-Star downed several of the savory treats as Prince Fielder blasted home runs on his way to winning the competition. Sadly, there was no on-screen graphic to keep track of Krukie's pace, but organizers were sure to have a towel handy for him to keep it clean.

Not only did Kruk's meal temporarily steal the spotlight from the Derby but it also managed to get Twitter to change the subject from Chris Berman for a few minutes.
