Anderson Cooper Sells Midtown New York Penthouse

Anderson Cooper Sells New York Penthouse

Good news for Anderson Cooper: the CNN host has finally sold his midtown Manhattan penthouse!

Even better, the New York Observer reports that the swanky apartment sold for slightly more than the asking price. Cooper listed the 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home on West 38th Street for $3.75 million in March.

The host oversaw some extensive renovations to the penthouse. According to the listing, the property featured: "two light-filled floors with multi-room surround sound, stainless steel, dark wood, frosted glass and limestone," a master suite with "a luxe closet-lined dressing area," and a chef's kitchen, as well as "a two-level outdoor wrap-around terrace" designed by Cooper's mother Gloria Vanderbilt.

Cooper currently owns another breathtaking home in New York. He purchased and renovated a $4.3 million firehouse in New York's Greenwich Village in 2010.

July has been a big month for the CNN host. In addition to selling the penthouse, he finally came out as gay earlier this month.
