Michigan Olympic Athletes 2012: Men And Women Represent Mitten State In London Games (PHOTOS)

Who's Your Olympian?

You might know who your Tiger is, but who's your Olympian? It's a tough call, but we're here to help you pick your favorite of the gaggle of Michigan athletes bringing their A-game to the summer Olympics.

The Mitten State will be well represented for the 2012 Summer Olympics, which begin Friday at 9 p.m. in London (4 p.m. in our time zone) and last through Aug. 12. The athletes, whether born here, grew up here or decided to call it home later in life, are contributing to Team USA's first-time gender gap favoring the female sex.. And 17-year-old Claressa "T-Rex" Shields of Flint will make history as she bring her powerful punch to the boxing ring, the first time women have competed in this sport at the Olympics.

These Michigan-born teammates, ages 17 to 44, will compete in everything from rowing to shot put, water polo to shooting -- that's right, shooting.

Will you be rooting for the Michigan Olympians after the games begin Friday? If you're not already fawning over gymnast Jordyn Weiber, swimmer Peter Vanderkaay or any of the other talented athletes, check out the gallery below to pick your Olympian.
