Drake was also singled out for Best Hip-Hop Video ("HYFR" with Lil Wayne), Best Male Video ("Take Care"), Best Art Direction ("Take Care") and Best Cinematography ("Take Care").

Summer sensation Carly Rae Jepsen was nominated in the Best New Artist category alongside The Wanted, One Direction, fun. and Frank Ocean. Unfortunately for "Call Me Maybe" fans, Jepsen's smash earned just that one nomination. (One Direction, which is set to perform at the Sept. 6 ceremony, earned two nominations, including Best Pop Video.)
