Whether the U.S. women's gymnastics team will be remembered as the "Fab Five" or the "Fierce Five" seems undecided but it seems clear that they won't mind if you refer to them as "Beliebers," especially Jordyn Wieber. Hours after winning the team gold medal in dominant fashion at the London Olympics, Wieber went to Twitter with a request.

Moments after Wieber's tweet, she got a response from someone who could surely make sure that such a rendezvous occurred: Justin Bieber

Wieber has never been shy about her Bieber fandom, admitting during an appearance on Ellen after her 2011 world championships win that she hoped to meet the singer. For his part, Bieber showed his support of his very talented fans.

Some of Wieber's teammates got in on the Twitter love-fest, too.

Talking with NBC Sports before the Olympics, Wieber suggested that a gold medal in the individual all-around "would definitely help" her fulfill her dream of meeting Bieber. Although Wieber shockingly missed the individual all-around it seems like team gold might do the trick.

Bieber wasn't the only pop star taking an interest in the exploits of the "Fierce Five." Lady Gaga also tweeted a message of congratulations to the team.

In her response to Gaga, McKayla Maroney showed that the team's musical tastes go beyond the Bieber canon.
