Morgan Martin Missing: Mother Worried About Her Pregnant Daughter

Morgan Martin, 17, walked out the door of her home in St. Petersburg, Fla. on July 25, saying she was going to talk to the father of her unborn child.

WTSP reports that Martin's mom Leah is worried about her daughter's safety.

"She was excited about it being a girl. She wrote her name in the sidewalk. And she was excited and I just think he wasn't," Martin said.

The man that Morgan says is the father has been interviewed by police, MyFox Tampa Bay reports.

Leah's mom says her daughter had reached out to him to try to establish a relationship. Martin said she thought that was a bad idea.

"I don't know, I just told her to quit bothering with it," Martin said.

The fact that Morgan didn’t take anything with her when she left to talk to the baby's father “has caused us to believe this is not a normal set of circumstances,” St. Petersburg police spokesman Mike Puetz said, according to ABC News.

Martin and police have declined to identify the man.

Morgan is 5-feet-2 and weighs around 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
