'Nightmare Next Door': Young Mother Thought Kidnapped Actually Murdered By Family Friend (VIDEO)

Murdered By A Family Friend On 'Nightmare Next Door'

In one night, a family was shattered. When Ronnie came home, he found his fiancee Holly missing. She'd been kidnapped, leaving him and two kids behind. It would be years before police would find her body and piece together what happened. Her story unfolded on the latest installment of "Nightmare Next Door" (Sun., 9 p.m. ET on ID).

When they did find Holly's corpse, it had 17 stab wounds in it, adding even more pain to the family that may have been hoping she'd somehow be found alive. But those wounds proved instrumental in the police determining a suspect. The wound size matched a knife owned by a family friend, Joe Clark.

The family was rocked yet again when the police managed to uncover enough evidence to pin the murder on him. "You think of all the years you spent with him and thinking you could trust him, and all that is betrayed in one blow," said one of Holly's children.

The police theorized that Clark had a romantic interest in Holly, and approached her in her home. When she rebuffed his advances, he snapped and killed her, then removed the body to try and hide what he had done. Clark was sentenced to life in prison for the crime.

ID uncovers a new "Nightmare Next Door" every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
