Kitchen Makeover: Watch This Dingy Space Get A Beautiful French Country Look (VIDEO)

Watch This Worn Out Kitchen Get A Much-Needed Makeover

Let's face it-- when you have children, it's difficult to keep everything in the home looking just the way you want it. This was especially true for one couple (with four kids), whose kitchen was in major need of help. It was old, outdated, and well, dingy. The cabinetry was chipped, the floors were worn and even the ceiling was damaged. Not to mention the lack of space they were working with to feed a family of six! That is precisely why the talented team from HGTV's "Spice Up My Kitchen" came along and gave this space the incredible head-to-toe makeover it desperately needed.

The transformation is almost unbelievable. They knocked down walls, opening up the space to give the floor plan an airy feel now that is transitions to the family room. Not only was a kitchen island added as an additional prep area, but also a breakfast bar complete with fresh white stools to give this room a classic country feel. The cabinets were replaced and intricate vintage-looking hardware was attached.

This kitchen got pretty much a whole overhaul: New stainless steel appliances, beautiful tan quartz countertops and a gorgeous Venetian backsplash. But our favorite addition to the made over space is the chandelier placed over the kitchen table. It is the perfect touch to the brand new french country-inspired space. We totally wouldn't mind if this were our kitchen (In fact, we'd actually love it)!
