'HuffPost Live' Set Designers Roman And Williams Bring Style To The Huffington Post's New Streaming Video Network (PHOTOS)

Meet The Designers Who Have Set The Tone For Live Debates... In Style

On Monday The Huffington Post launched its newest project, HuffPost Live, a streaming video network dedicated to engaging in real time with community members around the world via webcam. And while we were watching these truly unique conversations taking place, we couldn't help but notice how fabulous the set looked.

Created by design team Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch of Roman and Williams, the HuffPost Live set resembles a traditional living room and embodies style and comfort. The hosts and guests on the show lounge on a tufted leather sofa that is decorated with earth-tone throw pillows creating a relaxed environment, and setting the tone for conversation and opinions to flow easily between the inhabitants. Accents like a vintage-inspired side table, a pair of chairs, books, flowers and lamps, all create an environment for great debates, good laughs and intelligent remarks. The coordinating rug adds a touch of warmth and the sentiment that this space could indeed be in any family's home.

Standefer and Alesch, who started working together in the early 1990s, are both masters in a variety of artistic fields such as architecture and color theory. The pair have designed more than 20 Hollywood film sets, such as Practical Magic and Addicted To Love. But their impressive work doesn't stop at set designs. The duo also created the eclectic yet sophisticated ambiance in the Ace Hotel in New York.
