'Longmire' Finale: Did Walt Kill His Wife's Murderer?

While the battle of the ballot between Branch and Walt wasn't waged in this season finale of "Longmire" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on A&E), the case of Walt's dead wife came back into the show in a big way. Charles S. Dutton portrayed a FBI agent who'd been trying to reach Walt for awhile. Not surprisingly, Walt wasn't taking his calls.

So he showed up with what should have been good news: the FBI had found the man who killed Walt's wife. The revelation came as a shock to Walt's daughter, who had been told her mother died from cancer. Her relationship with her father was already strained, and is now on the verge of breaking altogether.

Was the reason Walt avoided those calls because -- as the agent suspects -- he drove back down to Colorado and killed his wife's killer? Flashbacks shown throughout the season would seem to support this theory, but Walt unequivocally said "no" to that question.

Fans will have to wait until next season to see how this all plays out, as Walt's denial wrapped the episode, and the successful first season of "Longmire."
