Aug. 5 marked 50 years since Marilyn Monroe's death, and Miami Beach Cinematheque is beginning a film retrospective in the Hollywood icon's honor. Watch her in "Niagara," her first big movie role, and then visit the ongoing exhibit set up at the theater to remember America's most famous blonde bombshell.
Another woman to reminisce over at MBC is Julia Child, the famed American expatriate who turned into a legendary French chef. In "Julie and Julia," Amy Adams plays a budding food blogger who attempts to cook all of Child's recipes in one year. The special screening celebrates what would have been Child's 100th birthday.
