Police have made an arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Dallas woman in a high-end Gold Coast hotel.
One person is currently being held at the Area Central lockup as police continue to investigate the death of Brianna Gardner, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Gardner was found dead in a seventh floor guest room at the Whitehall Hotel less than four days after she was arrested and booked for soliciting men for sex, Chicago police told ABC Chicago.
At least one guest near the room where Gardner was staying reported hearing something that sounded like a gunshot around 3:30 a.m. Monday, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and have not yet established a motive for the homicide. The hotel has declined to comment on the incident.
