'Storage Wars: Texas': Victor Finds Lighter Worth Thousands

Victor found a lighter in a dresser drawer on the season premiere of "Storage Wars: Texas" (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on A&E). Because it was coated in yellow gold, he decided to go in and see what it might be worth. The piece was from the Art Deco period, and had some unique and ornate design elements. It was certainly something to look at, but was it worth anything?

An appraiser estimated its value at around $4,200, which floored Victor.

"$4,200 for a lighter," he marveled. "Imagine that.”

Now imagine it in the context of Victor having spent $250 for the entire storage unit. He'd already doubled his investment before looking at the lighter. Sometimes the smallest and most unexpected things can net the biggest profits.

"Storage Wars: Texas" looks for deals every Wed. at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.
