Mary-Louise Parker Says Her Son Offered To Pay For Another Season Of 'Weeds' On 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

Mary-Louise Parker Talks 'Weeds' Series Finale On 'Late Show'

With the series finale of "Weeds" coming up next month, it wouldn't be a surprise to hear that Mary-Louise Parker is sad about the show coming to an end. But she isn't the saddest person in her household about the big finale coming up, according to her interview on "Late Show with David Letterman" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS).

Parker revealed that her 8-year old son is pretty unhappy with her job coming to an end. According to Parker, he even offered to pay for another season out of his allowance.

"He’s sad," she said. "He thinks I’m on a show about gardening."

"In a sense," David Letterman joked.

Of the finale, Parker told TV Guide that while it "didn't make it a total happily-ever-after thing, but there was hope in it and there was some sort of benediction." That sounds completely appropriate for her character's journey throughout the series run.

The "Weeds" series finale airs Sunday, September 16 at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime. "Late Show with David Letterman" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
