Kristen Wiig Beauty Evolution: 'SNL' Sketch Queen Turned Big Screen Funny Woman (PHOTOS)

Kristen Wiig Is Serious About Style

Kristen Wiig has induced gut-busting, tear-jerking laughter playing memorable "Saturday Night Live" characters (with notably bad hair), including baby-handed Dooneese Maharelle, schoolgirl Gilly and tough movie critic Aunt Linda. Fortunately, the New York native has had much better luck with her locks off-camera. Whether styled in a blonde-and-feathered hairdo or girl-next-door bangs and layers, Wiig's look has a "don't take me so seriously" appeal that we can certainly appreciate.

But as Wiig's star status catapulted with roles in "Whip It," "Bridesmaids" and "Friends With Kids," plus a hot, new romance with The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, we've noticed that our new favorite funny woman has adopted a perfectly imperfect feel -- trading her razor sharp bob and bright lip colors for dark, tousled waves and smoldering eye makeup. Appropriate for a modern rocker girlfriend, don't you think?

In celebration of Wiig's 39th birthday on Wednesday (August 22nd), we're taking a look back at the comedian's beauty transformation over the years. Vote on her makeup and hairstyles in the slideshow below.
