Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus spoke to RNC conventioneers on Tuesday, playing up his Wisconsin roots and blasting President Barack Obama's economic record.
Building on previous attacks, Priebus accused Obama of propping up the nation's success on an expanding federal government.
“That makes me think that Barack Obama has a problem with the American Dream,” he said.
Shifting focus to GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Priebus lauded the former Massachusetts governor for his character and business experience.
"I know and you know just the man for the job. He's a family man, he's a business man, he spent his career building successful companies," Priebus said.
He also offered praise for GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan, a fellow Wisconsinite, while getting in a jab at Vice President Joe Biden.
“He’s my buddy, my congressman, and I can’t wait to call him our next vice president,” Priebus said. “And hey, wouldn’t it be nice to have a second in command who spends his days doing more than prying his foot out of his mouth?"
