'America's Got Talent': Goth Opera Singer Andrew De Leon Receives Some Harsh Criticism (VIDEO)

'America's Got Talent': Harsh Criticism For Andrew De Leon

Andrew De Leon continues to be a polarizing contestant on "America's Got Talent." The goth-styled opera singer was called a "star" as recently as last week's Wild Card Round by Sharon Osbourne, but six days later, she suddenly seemed to be over him.

Specifically for the judges, De Leon's lack of professional training was becoming apparent during his performances. At least some of his fan-base is filled with people -- like this writer for Gossip and Gab -- who absolutely love the mismatch of De Leon's look and his vocals. Unlike the judges, though, the G&G writer also loved his vocals.

Over on Buddy TV, though, it's a polar opposite view. "I'm sort of wondering when America will get over their rally cry for Andrew that originated in his audition," their writer wrote, though she conceded that she thought De Leon did sound better than last week.

Considering the judges were much harsher than last week, maybe things sounded different live? De Leon is going to have a tough time moving on because he was stacked against some tough competition in this Semi-Final Round.

Find out who moves into the Finals as "America's Got Talent" continues Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, and then Tuesday and Thursday next week on NBC before the Tuesday/Wednesday finale the following week.
