Vladimir Putin And Group Sex: Russian President Muses On The Benefits Of Orgies In Odd Interview (VIDEO)

If an interview released Thursday by Russian television channel RT is any indication, President Vladimir Putin may be a fan of group sex.

In the midst of the interview, Putin opined, "Some fans of group sex say that it’s better than one-on-one because, as with any collective work, you can skive off,” according to a report by the Telegraph.

"...It's OK to do what you like privately," continued the Russian president. Then he cautioned, "but I wouldn't be that certain about uploading your acts on the Internet. It could be subject to legal assessment.."

According to the Telegraph, Putin made the comment regarding a 2008 orgy in the state biology museum in Moscow, in which Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, one of the members of the recently-incriminated punk band Pussy Riot, took part. A video of the act later found its way onto the Internet.

The topic of the broader interview had been Pussy Riot and Putin's unwillingness to commute the band's two-year prison sentence for "hooliganism," though it seems he took advantage of the orgy tangent to crack what AFP has termed a "Soviet-era" joke.

According to Reuters, at one point in the discussion Putin forced his interviewer to translate the word "pussy," while making the point that the band has inappropriately injected the curse word into public discourse.

Putin has gained a bit of notoriety for his alpha-male styled PR stunts, including tranquilizing Siberian tigers, and tagging gray whales with crossbows.

He made headlines this week when he donned a white jumpsuit and attempted to lead a flock of Siberian cranes to migrate with him in a hang glider.
