After leaving "30 Rock," Alec Baldwin wants to head to "Portlandia."

While interviewing "Portlandia" star Fred Armisen on his podcast "Here's The Thing," Baldwin asked if he could make an appearance on the quirky IFC comedy.

"I think you would come from Southern California and you’d order all kinds of meats; a meat aficionado," Armisen, who plays Fred on the series, suggested. "People think of it as a veggie place, but it’s actually a very meaty place. They’re very into ... yeah, it’s very like cured meats and sausages, but we haven’t explored that that much."

Baldwin had another idea about his role, however: a meat salesman.

"[I could have] all kinds of charts and graphs of the loins and the sections of the pig and the cow and the organs," the "30 Rock" star said.

"Portlandia" returns to IFC in January.
