The center part is certainly nothing new. It returns every season in some new iteration or form. This fall, however, it's more severe than ever -- tightly pulled back and slicked down smoothly.
Victoria Beckham sent models down the runway with neat, middle parts and slightly loose waves, while over at Thakoon, the hair was decidedly more wet-looking, with a crimped effect in the back. The latter, a sleek look lead hairstylist Odile Gilbert achieved by prepping the roots with Kerastase Elixir Ultime.
But Alexander Wang did them all one better by adding a strip of electrical tape. To get that impossibly glossy effect on the models' hair, stylist Guido Palau applied Redken Satin Wear before blowdrying straight. Once hair was pulled tautly into a low ponytail, a sliver of black or white tape was added to the middle, creating the most androgynous center part we've seen yet.
