'Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets': Murdered By His Best Friend

Jealousy proved the motivator behind the shocking murder of Robert Taylor on "Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets." But as tragic as his death was to his family, they were stunned anew when the identity of his killer was finally revealed.

Danny Tindle was Taylor's best friend, but Tindle had a secret. He had strong feelings for Taylor's girlfriend, Cindy White. Those feelings got the best of him one day, and he decided to get Taylor out of his way, shooting and killing him on his way to work.

Tindle kept his deed a secret for years, and stayed close to Taylor's family. He even took them to the site of the shooting, saying it would comfort the family. Finally, he admitted to Cindy what he'd done.

According to The Lakeland Ledger in 1998, Tindle told White he'd killed Taylor because Taylor had made threats that he was going to burn down both White's and Tindle's homes. Tindle was sentenced to 20 1/2 years in prison for his heinous crime.

True crime stories unfold each week on "Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets," Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on ID.
