$30,000 dollars a year for early education in private schools? Private schools can be expensive. HuffPost Live's Nancy Redd talks to HuffPost Community members and bloggers in a spirited discussion that asks if private schools are really worth the "ridiculous" cost.

Amanda Uhry, the founder of Manhattan Private School Advisors believes it is "Mostly its a financial issue, there are lots of public school parents who would genuinely rather be in private schools if they could afford it."

But why?

"Because you're [the parent] a client" according to Amanda.

HuffPost Blogger Robert and Founder of Themeparkinsider.com, believes that "Nobody has to go to private schools to get a good education."

HuffPost blogger Marc Simon, the director and producer of "Nursery University," which documents parents trying to get their kids into private preschools argues that the quality of education in public and private schools is "basically the same."
