WHILE planning their wedding, which took place last October in Mesa, Ariz., Amber Balmer and Trey Memmott wanted to not only have references to one of their favorite television shows, “Firefly” — a space Western in which the universe was called the “verse” — but to change their last names to Reynolds, after Capt. Malcolm Reynolds, the lead character on the old Fox series.
