Chicago's Best Burgers: Where To Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day 2012 (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day With These Juicy Ones

Tuesday, Sept. 18 is National Cheeseburger Day, and if anyone knows how to celebrate, it's Chicago.

Sure, we may get more attention for our deep-dish pizza and our stacked Chi-style hot dogs, but this city's beef patties pack a powerful punch, too.

Last year, we surveyed our Facebook fans about their top picks for the city's best burger. We think the list is still pretty irrefutable.

While we focused on the city, some readers shared their picks for best burger in the 'burbs. Here are a few honorable mentions: The Clubhouse, 298 Oakbrook Ctr., Oak Brook, Ill.; Edzo's Burger Shop, 1571 Sherman Ave., Evanston, Ill.; Bill's Drive-In, 120 Asbury Ave., Evanston, lll.; Strat's Hamburgers, 231 E. North Ave., Villa Park, Ill.; Ubaa Old Crawford Inn, 9956 Crawford Ave., Skokie, Ill.

Hitting up Five Guys, which made our list, to celebrate the holiday? Top off that burger with some philanthropy: for the next two weeks, the chain will donate the equivalent of one meal to food charity Feeding America every time a customer checks in on Foursquare at the restaurant.

Heading to Sidebar Grille to celebrate? They're offering $1 burgers in honor of the occasion.

Check out some of our reader's favorite burgers, and share your local faves in the comments. Don't eat meat? Try some of the city's best veggie burgers instead.
