Top 9 Things I Say To My Toddler That I'd Like To Say To Political Candidates

Written by Cheryl Family for NickMom

During this election season it's become clear to us that our kids really aren't that different from political candidates: They usually don't play well with others and they looooove being the center of attention. If only we could get the candidates over for a play date with our kids -- then they wouldn't think twice when we tell them they're going into Time Out until they start playing nice!

#9 "Play nice!"

#8 "You made this mess. Now you clean it up."

#7 "Nobody likes a bully."

#6 "I can tell when you’re lying."

#5 "If you can't find a way to compromise, nobody gets to have it."

#4 "Choose your words carefully."

#3 "Sometimes you have to be quiet and listen."

#2 "If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

#1 "Do you know any words other than 'no'?"
