Damian Lewis Wins Best Actor In A Drama Series Emmy

Damian Lewis took home the Best Actor in a Drama Series for his work in "Homeland"

Lewis beat out Emmy favorite "Breaking Bad" actor Bryan Cranston, "Dexter's" Michael C. Hall, Hugh Bonneville of "Downton Abbey," Steve Buscemi for "Boardwalk Empire" and "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm for the award. This is his first Emmy.

"I'm one of those pesky Brits. Apologies," Lewis said while accepting the award. "I don't really believe in judging art, but I thought I'd show up just in case."
