This past weekend's iHeartRadio Festival turned out to be quite the event. Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong had an epic meltdown on stage, blasting the festival organizers for shaving time off his set in an extended tirade full of awkwardly placed f-words. The next morning, it was reported that Armstrong was headed to rehab.
But Armstrong wasn't the only musician with an interesting weekend in Las Vegas. Flavor Flav, Public Enemy's clock man and perennial reality TV star, had a memorable backstage experience. He was chatting excitedly with Miley Cyrus (who has quite the new haircut) for a few moments, going so far as to ask her for a photo. If you're wondering why Flavor Flav would be so impressed with Cyrus, wonder no more: As he was walking away, he commented on how happy he was to have met "Gwen Stefannnnni."
Eventually, someone whispered to Flav that he had just talked to Cyrus, not the No Doubt singer. "I know that's not Hannah Montana," Flav said. But then he made amends with Cyrus, hugging her and telling her that he was indeed a fan of hers as well.
And thus, we close another chapter of Flavor Flav being funny on accident. Watch the video above. Below, photos from the festival -- including some of the real Gwen Stefani.
