Tisha Casida, House Candidate From Colorado, On Small Business, Women She Admires And Why She's Running

Tisha Casida, an independent and small business owner, says she is running for the U.S. House of Representatives from Colorado to give a voice to those who are unaffiliated with a political party or frustrated with their political party.

In anticipation of the November 6 congressional elections, HuffPost Women spoke with her about who she is, why she's running and how to get involved with her campaign.

What's your favorite quality in another person?
Being able to laugh and make others laugh.

What three words best describe you?
Happy, worker, resilient.

What's your biggest flaw?
Still figuring that out...

What failure are you most grateful for?
All of those that have taught me to pick myself back up and keep fighting.

If you weren't you, who would you be?
No one -- I love myself.

If you could live anywhere, where would that be?

What woman do you most look up to?
My Mom and Grandma.

What's the best advice you've ever been given?
Never give up.

What's your joy trigger?
Cupcakes (preferably made with organic/natural ingredients with copious amounts of frosting.)

What is your favorite book?
"Atlas Shrugged"

What is your favorite album?
Muse - "The Resistance."

Where did you have the best meal of your life?
Still discovering that one...

What is your favorite thing you've ever worn and why?
My boots, because they have been through a lot of... dirt.

What talent do you wish you had?
I would like to work on playing the piano.

What quality or accomplishment do you want people to know you for?
Working hard.

What makes you feel the most free?

Why are you running?
Because I love my country.

What is the most important issue for women in this election?
Looking for candidates with integrity and who will work hard on ACTUAL solutions for their community - don't just listen to just the rhetoric, look at who the candidates actually ARE and what they will DO.
