Beauty Street Style: Dominique Stroman, Model, Incorporates Food Into Her Beauty Routine

We ran into Dominique, a model who had some unconventional beauty wisdom to share.

A lot of focus these past few weeks has been on backstage beauty and the extreme makeup looks we saw come down the runway, but we were also paying close attention outside the tents at New York Fashion Week. Our photographer Raydene Salinas ran into Dominique, a model who had some unconventional beauty wisdom to share.

"Once a week, I mix honey and sugar together and make a face scrub," she told us. "I'll gently work the blend in a circular motion to remove dead skin and create a softer, smoother texture." And while some use regular drugstore toner to balance oily skin, Dominique just slices a bit of fruit. "Apply lemon juice, not from concentrate, to a cotton ball to remove any excess dirt, oil or makeup left behind after cleansing and exfoliating. It absorbs oils, but also gives my skin clarity." Genius. Check out the rest of her beauty essentials below.
