Following the “loneliest, loneliest existence” she felt following her 2001 split with Tom Cruise, and the eventual joy she discovered upon finding love with Keith Urban in 2005, Nicole Kidman is finally breaking her silence.
“I got married really fast and really young,” Kidman tells the November issue of Who magazine. “But I don’t regret that because it got me [children] Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period.”
Kidman says there was a time she thought love "would never happen" for her again. “With Tom, it was a fantastic decade,” she says. “It’s very important to me to be in a place of forgiveness and love.”
Kidman also denies previous reports that she counseled Katie Holmes, 33, through her surprise split from Cruise in June. While a source allegedly told Us Weekly, “They’ve spoken over the past few weeks,” Kidman adamantly denies this. “I never spoke to her,” she says. “I wish all of them well, but I was not involved in any of that.”
Kidman, who shares Connor, 17, and Bella, 19, with Cruise, and daughters Sunday, 4, and Faith, 21 months, with Urban, considers her children her “biggest joys.”
She adds: “When it [my marriage] didn't work out, I had to really dig deep and find my way through depression,” Kidman says. “But I have no regrets about all of it. It was all a part of growing up.”
