Kate Moss was snapped in the front row at Hedi Slimane's debut fashion show for Saint Laurent Paris earlier this week. Seated with her husband of just over a year, the style icon was all smiles in a spotted black minidress that the designer had made exclusively for the supermodel (naturellement). Actress Jessica Chastain was also in attendance, clad in a polka dot dress. Not besties with a fashion designer? Don't worry, because spots are everywhere this fall.
We've all been stripes-obsessed for the past few years, but polka dots are starting to take the spotlight, quite literally. Polka dots are showing up in our favorite catalogues (hello, Madewell!) and on our favorite celebrities. Everyone from Kate Middleton to Solange Knowles is going dotty.
Similarly to stripes, spots are both neutral in that they can be mixed with just about anything (even contrasting patterns) and they are figure-flattering since the small graphic print keeps the eye moving.
