While Wayne State University President Allan Gilmour is officially cancer free, he is still battling fatigue side-effects from medicine he’s still on.

That fatigue has him out of the office on a regular basis.

On Wednesday, Gilmour announced he is appointing former WSU School of Social Work dean Phyllis Vroom as deputy president to help him run the university.
