Christopher Davis Arrested: South Carolina Police Find Raped, Captive Woman While Serving Warrant

Police in South Carolina say they discovered a girl sexually assaulted and held against her will last week while they were serving an arrest warrant.

The woman told deputies that 35-year-old Christopher Davis seemed harmless when she first met him on Facebook, according to Fox Carolina.

When she went to visit from Charleston, however, Davis would not let her leave.

"He became very upset, approached her without saying anything and started beating her," said Sgt. Bobby Galarza, who is investigating the case.

Police investigated the case after the 17-year-old victim found time to call her friend, who then called 911, WSPA reports. On Sept. 28, shortly after, they arrested Davis at his home in Mountville.

Deputies served an arrest warrant at Davis' home for an unrelated harassment charge. They found the victim inside, scared and beaten.

Davis is charged with criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, assault and battery, resisting arrest and unlawful use of a telephone.

He is being held at the Johnson Detention Center.
